Edens Accounting & Tax Service was built to give individual taxpayers the kind of personal attention that’s easy to lose at a national tax-prep chain: documents handled carefully, deadlines met on time, and someone who can explain what your return actually says.
The firm stays deliberately small. Clients speak with the accountant who does the work, and that work is held to the standards Elias applied inside a corporate accounting office for more than fifteen years.
Professional Journey
Elias began his career in bookkeeping, at the ground level of the profession, where accuracy is learned one transaction at a time. It is still the foundation of how the firm works.
At McGladrey & Pullen he worked across a wide range of engagements, gaining experience with small-business accounting and with the practices of larger corporate clients.
He then joined a growing title insurance company and served as its chief accountant for over fifteen years, responsible for the accounting operation of a business in expansion.
In 1993, while continuing that corporate role, Elias founded the firm — building it client by client, one tax return at a time, for the families and taxpayers of the Chicago area.
Philosophy
